A judge in Milan, Italy handed down a ruling on November 4 sentencing those involved in the abduction of a Muslim cleric in 2003. Hassan Mustafa Osama Nasr was snatched off the street in Milan, bundled into a van and then flown to Egypt where he was vigorously interrogated about terrorist connections. This extraordinary rendition was planned and carried out by CIA agents operating on Italian soil with the backing of some local Italian law enforcement officials. The prison sentences for the Americans extend to 8 years. The NY Times has more here: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/05/world/europe/05italy.html?scp=3&sq=rendition%20italy&st=cse
